This episode I have a pair of interviews from two of the superheroes from the WOW Women of Wrestling promotion, Stephy Slays and Jungle Grrrl. WOW Wrestling just landed a TV deal as part of AXS TV’s Friday Night Fights in between New Japan Pro Wrestling and LFA MMA. At only 25 years of age, Stephy Slays is one of the younger women of the bunch, but she keeps the hustle on. During our chat, we talk about her place with WOW, the debut on AXS TV, what we can expect from her character, when she started wrestling, the superhero theme of WOW, the vignettes on the WOW show, learning from other women in the company, and her own obstacles.
As one of the original talents of the WOW company, Jungle Grrrl is a born leader in WOW. During our interview, we talked about the progression of the company, her story in WOW, telling the stories of each superhero, what makes WOW different, the message of empowerment for women and young girls, and what we have to expect from Jungle Grrrl.
