The guest for this episode is Stephen Brower, who is currently playing the role of “Dmitry” on the touring production of Anastasia: The New Broadway Musical. The musical is described as: “This dazzling show transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. During our chat, we talked about how he ended up getting the role in Anastasia, the auditioning process, staying healthy on the road, his upbringing in theater and how it molded his life, and about what makes Anastasia a special story.
Anastasia will make its Detroit debut at the Fisher Theatre (more info: broadwayindetroit.com) starting Tuesday, June 11th through Sunday, June 23th, before upcoming tours in Grand Rapids, MI (6/25-6/30), Milwaukee, WI (7/23-7/28), and Madison, WI (7/30-8/04).
