Music Premiere: Bird Call – “Chroma Love”

With plans to add more content on the Fresh is the Word web site outside of just podcasts, here’s our first music premiere – the new single “Chroma Love” from Bird Call, the musical project from Chiara Angelicola.

Angelicola a Guatemalan and Italian American songwriter, artist, and educator currently based in Los Angeles. Along with Bird Call, she is also known for her other music project Motel Pools. Her upcoming full-length Bird Call album, Year of the Dogfish, is due out 11/8 via Papavero Records.

Chiara Angelicola offered some words about “Chroma Love” to go with the premiere:

By the end of the record, in Chroma Love, the listener arrives at the stage where I currently feel I am living in… a place of transcendence, confidence, freedom, and recovery. And sonically, the final single ends with the instrumentation we began the record with – big horns, synths, guitars, etc. as a way of culminating the experience.
