The guest for this episode is comedian, author, journalist, and screenwriter Teresa Lo. She has spent years writing about sex for Hustler Magazine and she currently has a show on YouTube called Talk With T.Lo. She’s been on countless online comedy shows during the pandemic. The first time I saw Teresa was on a Crazy Woke Asians show put on by past guest Kiki Yeung. During our chat, we talk about her Midwest upbring, her YouTube show, sex work, sex education, working for Hustler Magazine, bad relationships, and so much more! Teresa Lo is always a fun person to chat with!
My guest this episode is drummer, producer, author, and former rapper, J-Zone. We talk about his new 7” single from his project The Du-Rites with Tom Tom Club guitarist Pablo Martin along with his transition from being a rapper to solely being a drummer/producer. A lot of the frustrations and lack of passion that J-Zone talks about with being a rapper is very interesting and something that I think a lot of people feel in their own creative spaces. Being someone that has been a jack-of-all-trades type person also in the past, his perspective on that and focusing more on specific trades really hit home with me, so this interview is a great listen for anyone in any artistic space.
On this episode, we go back to my second day at this year’s C2E2 convention in Chicago and you get hear my talks with first, bestselling author S.L. Huang, who is about to release her new book Critical Point. Then after that, I talk to the team behind D.C. Black Label’s Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity, writer Kami Garcia and artist Jason Badower.
